The Halloween event in Murder Mystery 2 (MM2) has been running since 18 October 2026. It ends on 16 November 2026. The event has a retro theme. One of the maps is a Haunted House map from MM2’s early years. In rounds, you collect candy instead of coins. The fan site The Click reported on this in an article dated 19 October 2026.

The key points:

  • Dates: Starts on 18 October at 8 pm UK time (9 pm in Germany), ends on 16 November at 6 pm GMT.
  • Currency: During the event, you collect candy instead of coins.
  • Rewards: A battle pass with 30 tiers and Halloween boxes, both paid for with candy.
  • Real money: There is also a bundle for 3,399 Robux.

Where the information comes from

We want to be honest here: the source is a fan site, not an official Roblox page. We found nothing about the event in the Roblox Newsroom or the developer forum.

For the dates, The Click refers to Nikilis’s official event listing. Nikilis is the developer of MM2. So we consider the dates well confirmed.

The rewards and prices are a different story. These numbers come only from the fan site’s article. We have not checked them in the game ourselves yet. So small differences are possible.

What’s in the event

The retro map. According to The Click, a Haunted House map from MM2’s early years is coming back. If you have played MM2 for a long time, you might remember it.

Candy instead of coins. During the event, you get candy in rounds. You use candy to unlock the event rewards.

The battle pass. According to the article, it has 30 tiers. You pay for the tiers with candy, mostly 600 candy per tier according to the article. At the very top is the Ancient weapon Emberbow. The article says it takes 100,000 candy, or around 117,000 together with the tiers before it. That is a lot. If you want the Emberbow, you will have to play a lot of rounds.

Halloween boxes. According to the article, one box costs 600 candy. What exactly is inside the boxes is random.

The “Mortal Bundle”. According to the article, this bundle costs 3,399 Robux. It contains the Mortal knife, the Immortal gun and the Smolder effect. The two weapons are also sold individually for 1,699 Robux each. Robux are Roblox’s currency, and they cost real money. So you cannot get the bundle or the weapons with candy.

Rumour: the hidden room

People in the community are talking about a puzzle involving a hidden room. The Click describes the room too, but says itself that there is no confirmed solution to the puzzle yet. We found no official information about it. That is why we treat it as a rumour. We don’t know what the room is about or whether there is anything there at all.

What we don’t know

Here we keep things clearly separate. These points are still open:

  • Whether all rewards and prices appear in the game exactly like this. So far, we only know them from the fan site’s article.
  • Roughly how much candy you get per round.
  • Whether there is anything to the puzzle about the hidden room.

We won’t guess. As soon as there is confirmed information, we will update the article.

For kids and teens: What does this mean for you?

The event runs until 16 November. So you have time. You get the candy rewards by playing, without any Robux.

The Emberbow at 100,000 candy is a long-term goal. Don’t let it stress you out. If you don’t get it, that’s okay. An event should be fun, not a chore.

With the Halloween boxes, it’s all down to chance. You don’t know what’s inside beforehand. That’s important to know before you spend your candy.

One more tip: if someone in the chat promises you “free Robux” or rare event weapons, it is almost always a trick. Never give out your password. Tell an adult if something like that seems strange to you.

Context for parents

At its core, the event is free. The battle pass and boxes use candy. Candy is earned by playing in the event. Nobody has to spend money on it.

But there are offers to buy. According to the fan site, the “Mortal Bundle” costs 3,399 Robux, and the two weapons from it cost 1,699 Robux each on their own. Robux are bought with real money. Especially with events that only run for a limited time, the wish for bundles like this can grow strong. It’s best to talk with your child beforehand about whether money may be spent, and how much.

Know about random boxes. The Halloween boxes only cost candy, but they work on a random basis. This can be a good opportunity to talk with your child about luck, chance and disappointment in games.

Put time pressure into perspective. 100,000 candy for the top reward means a lot of rounds. If your child wants to play much longer because of this, clear agreements about playing time can help.

Use parental controls. Roblox offers settings for parents, for example for spending. We explain how age checks work on Roblox in our guide to age estimation on Roblox.

As of 22 October 2026. The event dates are well confirmed through the developer’s official event listing. It is still open whether the battle pass, boxes and the “Mortal Bundle” appear in the game exactly as the fan site describes. We are still checking this ourselves. The puzzle about the hidden room remains a rumour until there is official confirmation.
