The rarity tiers in MM2
Items are sorted into tiers – from common to extremely rare:

Common
Easy to get, low value.

Uncommon
A bit rarer than common.

Rare
Rare – more wanted.

Legendary
Very rare, clearly more valuable.

Godly
Extremely rare and in demand – usually the priciest "normal" items.

Ancient / Unique
The rarest tier, especially wanted.

Chroma
A shimmering special version of an item – usually worth more than the original.

Vintage
Old items no longer obtainable – collector value.
What makes an item valuable?
- Supply & demand: the rarer AND more wanted an item, the higher its value.
- Demand can beat rarity: a "cool" item can be worth more than a rarer one nobody wants.
- Events & seasons: event items (Halloween, Christmas) are often worth more after the event.
- "Clean": untouched original items are usually worth more than modified ones.
How to read a value list correctly
- Compare both sides of the trade: if the values are roughly equal, the trade is fair.
- Look at demand, not just the tier.
- Always use an UP-TO-DATE community value list – old numbers are often wrong.
